At SIPit we work with a wide scope of customers. From the garden room installers looking for a panel only service ... the one off self builder battling the elements on the Isle of Lewis, to build their #granddesigns ... the housing developers, installing passiv haus standard developments ... and the local authorities working to challenging time scales to deliver 20 replacement passiv haus social housing accommodation.
What they all have in common is the appreciation of the advantages that SIP brings to a project. Better energy performance, simple detailing, fast installation time, reduced construction costs (to name but a few).
Below is a house currently onsite (photo credits thanks to our developer friend). They have been using SIP for many years and we are glad to be assisting them in the construction of the new development in perthshire.
Internally you can see the SIP creating a high vaulted roof, allowing the house to maximise on solar gains a create a light bright and cosy interior.
What you cant see in the image is that the 195 SIP panels here have a 0.12 W/m2K u-value with no additional insulation. Once it is completed with the plasterboard linings the u-value will be 0.11 W/m2K. This is a huge saving in time and costs compared with the steel or timber kit build up to achieve the same u-value. (email info@sipit.uk for more info on comparison costs)
The SIP construction is simple, therefore faster onsite, and also more accessible to self builders and the less skilled labour force.
If you have a project you would like to design with SIP, you can contact us now and receive a free consultation service throughout your project that ensure and smooth SIP installation.
